tylies, great job. If you are getting that many smaller fish, try upsizing your bait selection, or if you are fishing plastics try throwing a rattletrap, or crankbait, something that can work a different part of the water column. There are bound to be some bigger fish close by! Good luck! -Dave

Lake Tapps is pretty good from the shore. I fish there on my lunch when I'm working. On the rocks in the morning, I can't think of any better place.

hey were you fishing near gasworks park?

I went over by gas works park and saw a sign that said no fishing so I left. I dont know why you cant fish there? I have only fished in the canal. Caught a one pounder on a red spinner bait this morning. I also saw a freaking beaver it came right up to me then slapped its tail and ate some wood near me.

ok I will try. The easy place to start fishing lake union is google. Just google google and find the address. Its best to go during off hours because its easy to park. You are allowed to fish from shore any where in lake union at least 400 feet from the locks. I have fished from the canal to the I- 5 bridge. At gas works park there are signs that say no fishing but the WA. state fishing rule book says you can. Two days ago under the I-5 bridge I caught a 6 pound large mouth on a 5 inch brownish with blue flake double tailed hula skirt grub. I just texas rigg them . I hope this helps. I fish like at 4 am till 9ish if you wanna fish with me just let me know. I want to start going to carkee park in the mornings to catch some salmon or halibut.
