Haven't got to fish Silver in a while and was going to make a day out of it 3a.m. is pretty early in the morning. Got to Public Launch at 4:30 A.M. Water temp 68 degrees stayed that way all day. Water pretty turbid (1ft.). over cast skys with rain showers. Tried the usual Plugs,Spinnerbaits, Jigs , No hits. Found wacky worm worked early in the morning on rip rap but bite was short and 6 fish caught and released were in the 2 to 21/2 pds range. Figured out at about 9:45 that larger fish(3 1/2 to 5lbs 4ozs) were holding tight to any type of wood cover, living or dead, deep or shallow. Switched over to flipping a weighted tube and most fish wanted it to lay on the bottom for a few seconds and then fish would slowly move off with the tube. Caught and Released 16 fish today 2 of the fish caught today took pictures (5lbs 4ozs/ 4lbs) Thanks to Leslie Brown for the photos. Enjoyed talking to these people. See you on the lake. Dave Newby
