Spent the weekend camping at Mossyrock Park Campground with a bunch of friends. The fishing was pretty tough, but it's a great campground, and we had a good time. I have never fished bass on this lake, actually I've only fished Riffe once from the fishing area by the dam, so I was really clueless on where to go. So we did alot of running from spot to spot, trying to find areas that would typically hold bass. We found alot of those areas, but they weren't holding many bass. But it is a beautiful lake and was fun just exploring it. On friday evening it was too late to launch the boat, so we just went down to the dock at the launch to throw some tackle around. The fish in the picture was my first cast, about 6 feet from shore, right next to the dock(craw crank). We thought that was a sign of good things to come, but that turned out to be the best fish of the weekend. I'm thinking our timing of this trip just didn't work out with prime time for bass.
FYI: water temp averaged 60 degrees; visibility was about 4-6 feet; craw pattern cranks, and worms worked the best.
