We were able to get out on Lake Samish for a few hours today. Just outside of the no wake zone in front of the ramp we were metering significant numbers of fish at 0’-30’. Over the side went a pink wedding ring spinner tipped with a maggot. We ran this rig at 2 colors. The other rig, a silver and pink Cyclops tipped with a night crawler was run off the downrigger at 25’. We had a constant pick on 8-10” kokanee. Although we went home with limits, we had 25-30 fish that didn’t quite make it to the boat. We also caught and released a handful of small squawfish. The weather was a little unsettled but other than a few raindrops and light wind it was a great few hours on the lake.
