Well we started out yesterday morning abot 7:30am. There was a couple of guy's at my usual spot ( the picinic bench on the point), so my Dad and I went down close to the restrooms for about an hour or so and Nothing!!!
About 8:45 I went over to my spot and the guys were going to try the boat launch. They said goodluck and were on their way.
Well I had a smoke and called pop over baited up with some green powerbait and it was ON!!!
The first fish I caught was amazing!!! He had a hook on a leader sticking out his butt and I snagged that hook and brought him in, then about 10min later pop got a 12" Rainbow.About 5min after that my pole got a huge strike and bam a 1.5 pounder!!! Then about 15min later another one, the big brother, a nice 2.5 Rainbow!!! Pop got 1 more 10" and I got a couple 10"-12" Rainbow's.... All n all a great day of fishing with my Pops!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right on! I live off Anderson Hill could you tell me some spots on the lake to fish a time or two? I've fish Island Lake often but want to try a new spot out. Island will be always my spot(I love that lake and all the Big Birds on it), just want some new action to take the kids.

Hey Rippasher, I fish this like quite often. If its trout your looking for I have my best luck anchored off the point about 30 ft from shore in front of the red barn. Its right across from the launch. Usally either side of the point does me ok, but the east side usually does me best.
