I took my 8 and 7 year old nephews out to horseshe lake last night and got one of them hooked into a really nice bass. We saw the bass bedded but couldn't get him to bite so I put a worm and hook under a bobber and had him cast it out. The bass took it and Amos doubled over his ultra lite rod and set the hook. After about a min of fighting he got the fish up just a little out of arms reach when the fish wraped itself around some lillies and shook the hook. It looked like it was about 5 1/2 lb and the three of us were probably the 3 most excited kids you've ever seen! After that we had fun poking around with the little perch and blue gill and Amos ended up landing a little 10" bass at the end of the night.
