Fished Leech lake 07/02-07/04/2009...FISHING WAS OF COURSE AWESOME! Weather, Sunny, clear skys HOT in mid day, warm mornings and evenings. Light winds like usual on this lake. Lake was clear all around like usual as well. First day, went out on the 'toon, and caught a sweet 2.5# trip right away! Didn't take a pic as I forgot it in the truck...only trip brought to the 'toon all weekend...had about three or so on all weekend, but I only use barless hooks fly fishing and they shook'em free. Caught a lot of nice eastern brooks ranging from 6"-12'. All fish caught and released for another day. The scenery was so beautiful up there...scenery like that really makes you think about how blessed we are to live in this great county. The bald eagle was flying high all weekend too! Great symbol of this great nation! I couldn't have spent my 4th of July weekend any better! I did take pics eventually of a couple brooks, I'll upload them later on!
