First trip to this lake after reading about it on this site. Got there about 1200 hours and fished to about 1800 hours. Weather was sunny with alittle wind. Wind first was coming from the NW, but then would randomly change directions. Like other people have said this lake has a TON of weeds. The whole bottom of this lake consist of weeds and more weeds.

On alot of the views on this lake, they say it's good for pan fishing. Man were they right. There were hundreds of bluegill along the shore line. I just used a worm and bobber set up and caught dozens. For perch I just took off my bobber and casted out into deeper water. The bluegill and perch were small but, alot of fun.

Also caught several LM bass in the 1-2 lbs range on the same set up, one of them was tagged. The tagged one was easy to spot in the water, with his white tag. Saw one bass at least 4lbs continueously swimming in the same area. He didn't take no matter what I threw at him.

The only disappointment was missing out on a 4+ lb catfish. I saw him in the shallows just sitting there on the weeds. Once I anchored he took off. I located him four different times in the area. One time he had his head in the weeds. I put a worm down there and when I tried to set the hook, he came out of the weeds an spit it out. Then he disapeared.

I really enjoyed this lake. Caught a lot of fish, nothing big but I don't care. I definitely will come back to this lake. Next I will try Evergreen, alot of vehicles coming and going on the road from towards there.

PS.
Dont forget your bug spray. They weren't very bad due to the wind, but I know they would have been.
