Hit the water about 6:30 a.m. on the 3rd..( alittle late on the report) Had tons of smaller bass following my gear all day but no takers...at around 1:30pm I was on the opposite end of the lake from ericksons (orville Rd. side) I threw my tailed weightless weedless worm into a small group of pads in a cove just before the old pilings..I seen a shadow move up on it and my line tightened just a little..Gave it a jerk and bam! Got her right up to the boat (i'd guess about 7lbs plus!) Biggest bass I'v ever had on, went to grab her in the mouth...and...she got off!!! What the?! oh boy I was not a happy camper, tried to stir her up again..not happening, proly wasn't the first hook she spit..nor the last..that was my only luck all day..But it was well worth it for the sight of that monster...Maybe next time I can get it in the boat and put a picture up eh? Sounds like another fish story I know..I swear its a true one..Its what keeps me going back--Thanks for reading
