Got on the lake about 4:30pm, overcast and rain off and on for the first hour. I Started out working the south bank pads and fallen trees switching between a t-rigged Zoom finesse worm in junebug and a Storm ThunderCraw. The ThunderCraw was the meal of choice for many 7-9” LMB. They were all small but very aggressive and quick to strike. I guess I need to get a bigger craw. As daylight came to an end I switched to a Persuader single blade buzz bait in black& red and started working it about 15 yards off the shore. This produced some larger fish, but still no trophies.
I did get to witness the power of nature as I saw a small duck get devoured by what looked like a monster of a fish just as it got about 2 feet in to the pads. Awesome sight to see!
