Borderline Bass club (Nice folks) had a club tournament on Saturday and I'd like to hear how it turned out.
We were not part of the tournament but did fish Whatcom until the wind and the waves broke my trolling motor. We did fish for 4-5 hours though. We caught 16 smallies on everything from spinnerbaits to crankbaits. We also carolina rigged and dropshoted plastics. So you can see we tried lots of methods and caught fish on all of them. Most of the fish were caught in the 10-20 foot range. Did find and new spot or two as we tried to find calmer water to fish. The fish were rather small and it took all 16 fish to make a measurable 5 fish limit. None of our fish were bigger than 2 pounds. Had fun and fought the wind and the waves. Made my 19 foot Nitro seem small. Trolling motor was pulled out of it's mounting holes and bent the mounting bolts. Spent the rest of the afternoon fixing. Ready to hit Banks and Roosevelt next weekend. See ya on the water
