7/23/2009 7:45:00 PMWhile I have not personally had much luck, I know that other anglers have had luck with jigs (and worms with worms w/ locked hooks) in the cove that sits just below Rainier adjacent to the boat launch. It offers lots of structure, most holding plenty of lost rigs, that harbors smallies. I gave up because of the wind. We tried drifting, but the cove was clogged with other boats and after snapping a rod it was time to go fetch a beer. With high water temps, I was sure that the shade would produce strikes. It just goes to show how important it is to know your holes better. I should have better known about the hidden logs that cost me money on that day. ?
