First, I want to thank Rob G. for the report he summited yesterday on Lake Morton. I haven't fished this lake in 5 years, however, decided to give it a try after reading his report. Yes, the bass were biting like crazy, however, I wasn't able to find any size to them. I landed 15 bass,
lost approx. 6 before they got to the boat, and had a couple dozen other strikes. Fished for bass from 9:00am - 1:45pm using a chartreuse and black spinnerbait. At 1:45pm I decided to troll back to the boat ramp with a black rooster tail and call it day, and landed one 10" and one 12" trout in a 5 minute period. It was an excellent and exciting way to end a great (but chilly) day fishing. Air temp was in the upper 50's to low 60's with cloudy skies, and there were a few sprinkles of rain. I'LL BE BACK!!
