I'm writing this report primarily to use this site as a diary for future visits. I was on the lake by 8am and began working along the reeds to the left of the launch area. My first fish was a triploid on a size 20 red parachute dun. Action was surprisingly regular throughout the day. Lots of brookies from 5-12". Triploids were a bit more scarce in this particular area so I moved across the lake towards the campgrounds where the water was deeper and hopefully cooler. I went to chironomids near the bottom and within a one hour period, netted 10 consecutive trips' and lost several more.
Late afternoon and into the evening, I worked the shorelines where there were reeds and had regular action from both brooks and trips' on an olive leech. The next day, I returned to Leech and action was about the same. I did fish into the night and action never let up, especially from the trips'. I stayed with the olive leech pattern until I broke it off on a monster strike. I hit Dog Lake the last day there. Very hot action on both wet / dry patterns all over the lake...
