Got to Tanwax at about 4am and started throwing a white Top Water Crank along the lilly pads hoping to draw out a big bass. Had no success with that so when the dock opened I headed over there. Got to the dock and played a worm off the bottom. My first cast I caught about a 1 lb largemouth and several small perch after that. Next I started to throw a large red spinner bait around some of the docks. I decided to throw it behind the public fishing dock under some juniper pushed and a few seconds after it hit the water and I hooked a monster!!! I saw it swim up and it was easily over 4 lbs. I got it in and my friend went to grab it for me and when he reached to grab it it took off again and broke my line. :(. After that I had limited luck except for some more small perch. I tried for crappie with some small plastics off the docks and had no luck. All in all a great day, I just wish I could have had that bass to get a picture. All well, ill be back.
