Looks like the one I caught the other day and let go, bunch of em that size down in shallow weed area by the water grate. Try the shore area right past the grate where you have to walk under that one small tree. 3x I have seen two LOGS about 5-7 lbs. cruising by or tail splashing in the weeds. Post a pic if you get one of em, my goal before end of summer is to trick one of them, maybe try floating topwater lure. WAAY fun on ultralight gear!

yeah the other day yeah that i caught a 4# in the same spot and in about 5-7 day post spawn will be over and they will be hitting top water lures a lot. they already started hitting 5" green pumpkin frogs but not committing to the bite. its a good start though. what do you normally use?

Next time out I'm gonna try a shallow diving Rapala and some 3" curly tail grubs in smoke/red flake or motor oil color. I threw two frogs in green/sparkle and white/sparkle but no takers on Monday. Lotsa splashers right before dusk in the lily pad areas next to the dock...
