7/28/2009 7:09:00 AMThese fish have a very delicate white meat kind of like sturgeon. or spiny ray. they are great deep fat fried/ or cooked any other way. some call them the poor mans lobster. The fish in the 22 24 inch ray some times have the most meat. the really large ones are sometimes all body, guts.

7/28/2009 9:54:00 AMThanks for the report! I have been considering heading to bead this weekend. Iv never landed a fresh water ling either, how deep of water were ya fishing? I hear the silver bite is on also, trolling a wedding ring tipped with worm is supposed to do the trick.
