Well, it's thursday again, bought some new gear this week and it paid off! So once again Newman was beautifully kind to us. Started out on my normal 3am thing. Joined by Jason and Chris (MaxExp82) we set out hit the south end. Jason and Chris are landing a few LMB between 8-12 inches. I think they each got three or four. I didn't catch a single fish till after mid-day! Anywho, the sun's up and it's about 8-9am and Chris hits a MONSTER Crappie, easily the biggest I have seen in Newman and prolly biggest I have seen ever. Check his report to see the photo. So we head up north end and continue the luck. Fishing slows down like usual around 10 so we decide to try some different tatics. Targeting Muskie we go on the run, Chris does same thing I did "Damn I got weeds... no... I got a fish!" lol yeah the muskie are strange strikers. Decent fight, in the boat 28 inch Tiger! Woot... Jason goes home about 10-10:30 am and Chris and I continue our running... gets too hot and we post up on the western shore under some nice shade trees and drop some night crawlers. We each caught ten or more blue gill. After a couple hours of shade and down time we got antsy and decided to run some more. Bam! Chris hits a fish, gets to the boat ANOTHER TIGER! Once in the boat he was a slimy one jumping around and sliding out of our hands, he was 36 inches, not bad considering Chris has never caught a muskie before this trip now he has two! lol... so next we hit the north western shores hitting soem small LMB like in the morning. The evening prime is approaching so we bail on the north end and hit some "secret" hotspots to finish the night off from 7pm-9:45 with another 5 LMB that were all in the slot. Only fish kept today was the giant Crappie and a handful of blue gill. Total of 19 hours on the lake and between all thee of us we had over 40 fish! Love this lake. Thanks for the comments on my prior posts. Check Chris' report for any details I may have missed! lol

Bass are caught everywhere along the shores there. LMB are in the pads and in shady areas. the SMB are along the shores with drop offs and rocky bottoms.
