It was great fishing on Fish Lake. It was a bit hot at 95 deg. but there was wind from a little breeze to whitecaps and off & on for the three hours we were out. We found a hole where the trout were staying cool and we also cught several perch, too. They were near the shore mostly. Just a worm on a hook and bounce it up about two feet up from bottom. If it stayed on the bottom too long, we caught bullheads. The helecopters were busy flying back and forth from the little air strip nearby to the fires up north. We had one fill his bucket in the middle of the lake once.
I tried the Hotspots, but it wouldn't move the cursor, so ... we were on the North side about half way by a pine tree that had fallen in the lake. Needles were still on the tree and was the only one there with folage on it. Good Luck!
