Went back to Goodwin today.Got a late start 10:45.Only fished till 1:45.Did ok though.I got my personal best smallie today.She weighed in at 5.7 lbs.She bit a 7"roboworm on a shakey head.I was going by this dock and i saw a big fish swim away from me.So i pitched the worm out about 30' ahead of where she was going.As soon as my bait hit the bottom i tightened up my line and hopped it a couple times,then"tick" and my line started swiming off.I set the hook and got the ride of my life.This fish was hott!!!.Anyways,i got her to the boat and lipped her using 6lb. test.Took a couple photos and weighed her a couple times,then enjoyed watching her swim away.
On the day i caught 3 nice fish and a hand full of dinks.The next biggest was around 3 lbs. also on a shakey head with a Zoom shakey worm.Caught one more on a drop shot.
I also saw 2 big Lmb's under one dock.One was over 5 and the other was around 3.I will be back there again soon.
Drove around the lake looking for LowVW but maybe he didn't make it or left early.
