Pops called me and said he wanted to fish the pads just past the DNR launch on the right. We need to improve on our top water and weedless presentations as we don't do it often. We got on the water around 5pm and the wind was howling. That put a damper on our plans as the electric does not have the holding power needed for the 19 footer. We decided to troll the weedline with some minnow imitations. The action was non stop, but no big ones as to be expected. We caught several smallies and a lot of small perch. I had no idea that perch were that aggressive. Don't fish for them much. We would have a fish on before we even got our lines all the way out. I haven't caught that many fish on a short trip for a while. We also left a lot of squawfish belly up. I think I might change my user name to squaw exterminator.

I am not sure the new name will go over well, perhaps if you add fish to the squaw - LOL - it will be better.

Rip....you crack me up! I liked playing "smack a squaw fish" with my fish billy club. My first wife threatened to divorce me after my cuz and I got covered with pikeminnow slime after making" bad "sqaw fish into "good" ones up at Lake Chelan a few years back. Just be care ful of the Ding bat who lives along the south shore of Long lake near the Little Spokane confluence...She feeds the squawfish that hang around her boat slip dog food and she will come out and wig out on you if she sees you doing any "Harm" to her "Pets"! lol...The Jigmiester

Thats really funny. I think we ran into her earlier this year as we were working that area. She was with her dog and made a point to instruct us not to catch the beaver by her boat slip. Dog food?? Reminds me of that movie Lake Placid with the crocs. At least I now know where to go to make the exterminator name official!!
