Fished Tapps on both Tuesday and Wednesday, we threw the whole tackle box of tricks at these fish for two days and managed a grand total of 5 fish. We fished the shallows, docks, deep water, weed beds with spinners, grubs, sencos, Zara Spooks, poppers, swim shads, etc etc etc and nothing. Can only think it was the changing of the weather that shut them down. About the time the sun started to break out on Wednesday afternoon at around 4:00pm we started to get some decent hits and several follows up to the boat on some nice sized fish but still no takers. With the clarity of the water we are definitely having more success with darker colors and less flashy lures. Highlight was a nice muskie that hit at my buddies lure and then followed it up to the boat. Hope the coming sun will change things around for next week when we can get out there again.
