I finally got a chance to get a line wet today so with limited time I decided to hit Langlois again. I have spent quite a bit of time on this lake and I figured out today the right method to catching trophy trout from this lake. both of these were taken within 10 minutes of one another, and once I got the techique down I limited within 30 minutes. I let the others go, I can't eat that much in one sitting. Largest was over 16" and all were caught in the 20 - 30 ft range. I also caught over a dozen small bass in the 6"-8" range while I cruised around the lake. 2 boats leaving when I showed up, then I had the lake to myself for the rest of the afternoon. Fish taken around 5pm. I would have stayed longer but I wanted to get these first two in the oven quickly. Bright and sunny, no wind. I used 8lb flourocarbon with hook and whole nightcrawler, no weight. Fish fought well. Lost two when they spun me under the timbers.
