Finally got the chance to come back to visit after leaving for college in san diego. my nephew birthday was on saturday so as a birthday treat i took him on his first fishing trip. We got on the lake at 1:20 and was off the lake by 4. I rig his fishing pole up with a worm and bobber setup while i ran a red jig with a white pearl zoom fluke or a watermelonseed zoom fluke. The lake wasn't very big, but my nephew had fun catch perches of 4-9 inches on his setup, and was lucky enough to catch 2 bullhead. I was lucky enough to find a large tree stump sticking out of the water near the boat launch and bridges and caught a 13 inch largemouth on my watermelon fluke and a 10 in on my jig and fluke setup. Not a great day, but my nephew enjoy his first time fishing.
