Debated on where to go fishing today and decided to try for some silvers North of the 520 bridge instead of hitting the Sound. The weather was calm and clear with the surface temps in the 66 to 67 degree range. Concentrating on the waters around Hunt's Point I trolled various salmon lures 50 to 90 feet down for a couple of hours and had no luck. I switched over to some smaller tackle and gear and set it at 45 feet as I had been consistently marking fish 30 to 50 feet down. This produced a nice fat and colorful 5lb on the nose cutt, for a while I thought that I had hooked into a silver. It was quickly weighed in the net, placed on the rubber mat for a pic and released to fight another day. Shortly afterwards I picked up a 10" kokanee, which will be eaten this evening, and I called it a day. I did come across another boat with three anglers that said they had managed 1 silver. I also managed to catch my outboard propeller in my net while attempting to snare some junk in the water. Needless to say, I will need to buy replacement netting. Doh!
