On the water around 2PM and wanted to try the thick pads to the very south of the lake.
Visible on Bing and Google maps. Pitched a few jigs and a frog in there. Finally got a good solid bite but lost him in the pads(very thick) not sure of his size...a couple pounds maybe.
Saw plenty of other bass cruising around the area,1-2pound class. Caught several small
lmb on worm/bobber(my son's setup) and I caught 2 small dinks on a blue/white Roadrunner
jig...sadly at that time I was hunting for crappie.But I'll just say otherwise(lol)
Of all the fish caught today,rock bass was the majority by far,...tons of rock bass.
Not the prefered target but still loads of fun for the kid and I.

Weather was sunny,clear with some wind for the first few hours but then
the water was smooth as glass by 5PM,off the water by 8:30.
Panfish still seem to be hanging pretty close to the shoreline.
All fish released
