This is another reason why I just table all those assumptions and predictors. With that big cold / low front pushing through you would think the fish would have lockjaw. Instead, it was hot! Fish when you can. We hammerred fish on Mack Bar early then plunked them out of the trench. A couple of hardcore deer and elk hunters from the Kittitas Valley weren't put off by the crappy weather report. The first 2 passes over Mack Bar produced 4 fish. Two were between 6.5 and 7 pounds. The other two were between 5 and 6 pounds. Just another solid day on the best fishing lake in the state. There are many opportunities to catch the best fishing of the year in North Central Washington. Chelan is just one of them.
