Made a brief stop by Beaver Lake after leaving McMurray but didn't even bother to launch on account of the algae in the water.

Instead we decided to finish our days fishing on nearby Clear Lake, the wind had picked u to a steady 5mphout of the n.e. now so we left the launch and began fishing the row of pilings that extend out from the launch road. Not 5 casts in and I hooked into the 4lb'er in the pic on the same spinner bait I was throwing on McMurray!

We began pounding the area around those pilings and about 30 minutes into the trip the wind kicked it into high gear and started blasting us at about 20-25mph!! I let it blow us all the way down to the park and we didn't hook any other bass.

We motored back into the wind to the n.e. corner of the lake and fished the east shore tossing jigs, grubs, spinnerbaits, and texas rigged worms. One more bass was caught by my buddy on the grub, and we decided to concede to the wind and head for home.....which was an ordeal in itself...with waves blasting up over the side of the boat I went to the unimproved side of the boat launch to avoid some of the wind, but had to motor through some shallow grassy water and barely made it! Upon backing my trailer into the water I deemed it to shallow to extract my boat and made the decision to head back around to the actual launch....so it was back through the grass which meant once I got to the deeper water on the other side of it I had to stop, tilt my motor up and clean off the prop again! By the time I had finished this I had been blown over 100' across the lake!! I slowly motored out to deeper water and ran for the launch, after three attempts, we had the boat on the trailer and were on our way to a late lunch!

Water temps were 57-59 degrees, no sign of algae.....
