We hit the lake about 1000 on saterdaystarted fishing the coves and rock walls. cought a few good bnws right off the bat using a 4.5 jerk bait then out of nowhere a friend slammed a 5-6 lb bnw about 6 feet from the boat. holly crap. well the fishing was hit and miss all day seemed to do best when the sun was behind clouds and it got a little colder. all in all we hit our limit of 15 fish between the three of us the smallest being about 2.5 lbs. good times and tight lines

Thanks for the report. How is the lake level, as high as last year? Did you notice any dirty water inputs from the far end? Tight Lines!

Why can't anyone post a report with out a picture to prove it? Ive got hundreds of pictures of fish at home. I've been fishing all over the country for 30 + years. I dont even get the Camera out unless it's a very special fish. We caught 4 steelhead on the Wynoochee a couple of weeks ago and didnt post a report because I thought someone would give me crap for not taking pictures. I like the reports mostly for the information. We all know what a fish looks like.

I guess it's because he says 15 fish all over 2.5lbs and recent reports from this lake have not even produced a single limit of 5 fish. I really want to see the pics of this haul and figured a challenge of the report would surely get them posted. Also checked for any previous reports and this seems to be his first so credibility is in question. If it is true congrats and don't mean anything personal by it. Peace out.

the lake level is low compaired to last year and as for the water it is merky all over the lake then when you get to the inlet it is very muddy. had some luck throwen a jerk bait up into the inlet then pullen into the muddy water and back out into the fresh stuff. i am trien to post pics but i am not comp savy so i need my wife to do it if i do not post them soon they will be on my next post.

LOL - fiznwtrs, now you know why I'm not putting my reports up anymore. Guys like you won't believe it even if they see the picture (must be photoshopped).

Water is stained to murkey, 39.5 degrees temp, about a foot from the high water mark. When the days are wet or warm, the river/creek is very muddy - cold and dry and it clears up for some time.

i can vouch for these 15 fish, and the 4.5 pounders looked to be a true weight. Hope we hit em that hard tomorrow too!

Well lucky for me I live in Spokane and I have a friend that grew up in St. John right next to Rock lake and I get the skinny on the lake anytime of the year I want. I've been to this lake many times and have caught nothing and then came in only to see 3 differn't sets of boaters with their limits. A picture, hmmm, yeah it would be nice, but you need to get out on the lake and find out for yourself. Anyone who has fished this lake for any length of time can make sense out any report posted about this body of water. What I read in ahess52's report I've experienced first hand and is not uncommon at Rock lake. Now if someone said they saw a alien spacecraft at Rock lake I would demand pictures as proof. Rock lake is one of the great winners of Eastern Washington, it's beauty, it's history, it's wildlife, it's fishery and it's element of danger from it's depth, it's water temp and outcroppings of jagged rocks the come out of no-where, lends to you to never take this lake for granted. NICE REPORT AHESS52'S
