2/18/2010 3:32:00 PMYep bills boathouse is fun but all of american lake is just so slow right now. From about june first till now i have probable caught only 4 good trout there! Up untill about december i fished at bills boathouse every weekend. But like i said the fishing just got terrible. It should start picking up again soon. Probably right around the time the trout are released.

3/3/2010 3:51:00 PMCheck the fishing info on Weather.com. Go to the "Outdoors" and "Fishing" menus. Put in 98498 and it gives you peak times of the day to fish American and Steilacoom lakes. I've found it to be a pretty darn good indicator of whether the fish were in a mood to bite. With that info and watching the barometer, you can pick the best times and increase your chances.
