My buddy Gary and I long lined Diawa SC. Shiner jerkbaits in rainbow trout,and prism shad patterns that I picked up from Hammers Outdoor World in Union Gap.Man do these thing catch fish.We caught and released several fish between 8-12 inches keeping the badly hooked ones.Caught an 8lb broodstock as well.She had a line hanging from down inside the mouth where someone had broken off,so I bonked it and took it home.Very firm for a broodstock had to be in the lake for some time.Made good fish n chips too.It took me about 20 minutes to land this fish due to the fact I was using a light action rod rated for 2-8 lb test strung with 6 lb test mono.Best fighting Brooder I've caught to date.made several line stripping runs,and cleared the water a couple of times.I had to stick my pole under the boat a couple of times toward the end to keep my rod from getting broke when it shot under the boat and out the other side
