Fished the March 1st opener this year at Burke. We got to the lake at about noon and fished until about 3pm. Between the 4 of us we caught 6 fish. The action was kind of slow for the opener but the fish were all decent size. We caught 4 fish that were all about 14" and then a 3lber and a 4lber. All fish were caught on powerbait.
March 2nd we went back and launched the boat. I was using a wooly bugger tipped with worm and my budy a hotshot. 10 min. after we launched I hook and land another 4lber. 10 min. after that I catch a 14". Trolled for another 2 hours w/o a hit. Had a few buddys shore fishing the entire time w/o a bite either.
