First trip to Scooteney this year. Three of us looking for walleye and ended up with only 1 little walleye to show for a day of fishing. Water Temp 46 degrees. We searched the deep water for fish, up and down the canal way, and found most of our bites in the center of the main lake in about 25 feet of water. Tried jigging plastics, jigging nightcrawlers, and trolling with worm harnesses. Only a few bites for most of the day, then after downsizing our presentation, finally hooked and landed one little fish (released). Saw three other boats and several bank anglers. Talked with two of the boats and they reported only a couple small fish caught. SW wind, rainy part of the afternoon. Thought we'd find 'em staging in the deeper water for pre-spawn. Could not find them!
