My son and I went to Fish Lake for the first time. We paddle the canoe from the launch to the North end trolling a rooster tail and blue fox. My son go one bite on the rooster tail. We explored the logs at the North end (maybe a good place to look for bass another day) We trolled back with a L4 flat fish and a Hot Shot both frog colored. We ended up getting 6 rainbows. Kept 4 of them, one got off at the boat, and let an 8 incher go. I had never trolled with these lures before but they seemed to work great behind the slow canoe, and fighting the fish was fun with out weights and pop gear. The really fun part was that two of the fish were caught after resting with the flat fish just floating out there a while. As soon as I got a little action in the lure again the fish would hit it. Saw a few people fishing from boat launch and two other boats out there. Looked like all were getting some action...
