Couldn't help but swing by Clear on my way home from the Bellingham area for a conditions check...water is still GREEN!! Or should I say "nutrient rich" :P
Water temps were 48-50 degrees, I hit a few spots I like, it rained heavy off and on, couldn't find clear water shallow, so I motored around marking fish, they seemed to be holding in the 15 foot range?? Tried Lowrance fishing them with a drop shot, and also a couple crankbaits, but couldn't manage a strike. No biggie, as I said, it was more of a conditions check opportunity today... the water looked a bit better at the launch and that's the only reason I bothered putting in, but once I was in the green was everywhere.....bummer. I would advise sticking to Big Lake if you plan to fish this area for another week or so? It doesn't seem to have the same issues as Clear....yet.
