I live close to this lake and every year they stock it with lots of trout. I have never done that well at this lake. I am not sure where all the fish go, but it is a good bass lake. People from the shore have caught fish.

ive maybe caught 1 trout out of this lake and ive fished it a bunch of times. I remember one time though that a guy fishing off the boat launch had 4 bows that were all probably 16" but besides that day ive never really seen to many trout just panfish and bass

I have had same luck. The water is very, very dark. It got 442 triploids this year. It is a bass lake really and maybe the 442 fish that were or will be dumped in would be better in Lake Stevens.

I just posted a comment on another Cassidy report earlier in the week and see there are others here who have experienced the same thing I have when it comes to trout in this lake. I have fished this lake several times by boat trying everything you can think of following the fish plant and have never caught a trout there, never. This year Lake Cassidy received 6,030 trout on March 25th so they should be biting like mad, but they aren’t. I find that very interesting and again am not surprised to hear folks are again not catching these fish. Who knows, maybe it’s a water temperature issue or something else in the water is hindering the bite. What I know for sure is despite the fact that this lake gets a decent plant each year, they don’t seem to be interested in feeding.

Know what ya mean! Makes no sense. (but it does) They plant the crap outta this lake year after year... What I do know is Cassidy has 5-6 inches of visibility (when your on the lake) boat or dock wise. Very! tea stained. Rusty red color. Really dont think the fish see to well in Cassidy. The lake is 20-25 ft. deep at it's most deepest point and not real big. Yes, where do the fish go? Very large bass there... Very large cats in that lake too. Plus a large surplus of food for the trout to splurge on and the visibility factor, thats whats up with the trout fishery on ol' Cassidy! I Don't think the state had anything to do with the catfish at Cassidy, but seen pics. and a couple fish taken by fishermen personaly. The largest cat (channel) I've seen was15 pounds and I'm real sure theres much larger in there. Nobody really knows that Cassidy has cats and they are not fished for. Well thats my two cents on Cassidy! Creepy lake I might add!!
