Spent Most of the day at Newman Lake and caught 1 small Perch. Then we decided to go to Liberty Lake and try our luck there. We tried fishing with worms and mallows both of us using a pole with a bobber and a second pole with worms and mallows on the bottom and did not catch anything for atleast 2 hours. Then i tried fishing with a white Booyah spinner bait and on my third cast the lure was almost to the boat and I saw a Largemouth smash my spinner bait which i was fishing about a foot over the weeds. The next cast, I casted about 25 yards from the boat and didn't even get to the third turn of my reel when about a 3-4Lb Largemouth ate my lure. Later my buddy caught about an 18" German brown with worms and mallows using a bobber, and also caught a 22" rainbow using the same method. We also caught quite a few stocked rainbows none of considerable size. All of our fish were caught within 2 hours before nightfall. We spent about 5 hours on Liberty lake that day.
