Walked to the lake with a little tackle box full of lures and a pole. Proceeded to circumnavigate the lake, casting several times at many locations all around the lake, starting at the northeastern corner, working clockwise. Had one strike early on on an orange and silver kastmaster, but no hookup. Finally, after about 6 hours, making it all around the lake, I landed a 12 inch brown, caught with that kastmaster, while on the big t-dock next to the paddle boat rent center. Got a little sunburn and exercise along the way. And, I witnessed a fellow angler lose about a 6 pound brown while he attempted to beach it. It came unbuttoned while being drug onto the shore near my favorite 64th street t-dock. That was the biggest fish I have seen at this lake, other than a grass carp. What a mighty fish that was, who lived to fight another day.
