Out yesterday with the kids and again today. Was surprised that simply P-bait trolling would get em' to bit. Have a lot of small plants. Out 11-6pm yesterday and 2-6:30pm today. Constant action for trolling... Total 4 trout brought in all under 10" (not keepers). We did hook quite a few that were bigger but couldn't get them in the float without wingling free. Talked with alot of fellow anglers who caught cat fish? Quite a way to enjoy the weekend.
This is the first time I've been on this lake. It's a lot of fun for the family. I can fish all day long and they've got a park for the kids and swimming area and paved path all the way around the lake for my wife to walk the dog (which gives me more fishing time :-) )
Been to Angle, Haller, Bitter, Ballenger, Rosinger, Flowing, Washington, then Rufus Woods since the first of the year... but this is the frist real action on the fresh water lakes I've seen! It's got to be the weather improving? Here's to the fishing getting better to all ya'lls who have been frustrated with this years slow fishin' start...
