Ok, A lot of you have had trouble with this lake. I didnt get out much last your due to a new addition to my family. I fish this lake alot and it dose need to be warmer for better fish activity. Its not really deep enough for a good thermalclin even for bass and crappy. I fish for trout and get my limit often. I use power bait ranging in chartreuse,orange,pink, red and rainbow. I have trolled dick nites 50/50 and chartreuse tiped. I use a boat I go from the launch straight to the other side and cast my line about 10-15ft from shore if you have a fish finder I try to find a hole or some sort of raise in the bottom. Theres not many. From there I will go north by a small wooden dock if its still there kinda near a point. From there I go near the tall dead stump at the north east end theres a big tree in the water by it. From there I go just north of the Resort dock on the west side. I use a slip weight with a 2ft leader. I also use the good old trick my grandpa tought me. Marshmello and worm. Trout circle around lakes edges I dont know what direction but I do know they circle. I havent hit this lake yet this year. I usually try to get out before opener weekend but havent yet. I feel its got to warm up a bit more. I live within 10-15 min of the lake and its been in the low 40s and high 30s at night. Usually its in the low 50s about this time. I like to fish this lake for trout in the begining of the year about now once it starts to warm up I try for crappy and play with some bass and some times I go for some cats. I submited this report to help out other anglers by giving them some knowledge I have to make it a better trip on the lake for them. Trout are a cold water fish so I wouldnt think it would be an issue to cautch them. Maybe with that early warm weather we had did something. With the early warm water it could have hatched things early and now with it cold slows them down making it too easy to feed. Making the trout uninterested in our bait. I dont know but weather dose play a big role.

Just throwing it out there; Last time I was out to Lake Stevens (right down the road) I was marking surface water temps from 54-56*f I would imagine that Cassidy is starting to warm up nicely and it probably above 55*f surface temperature. One its in the high 50's low 60's the bass will go to beds and spawn, they are probably beginning to stage in certain shallow areas already jockeying for position. Also, trout become more active once the temps his 50-52* so they should be really hitting now.
