I have a good friend that lives less than 10 minutes to Chambers Lake and he has, in the past, fished it quite a bit but never had any luck for bass. I read Dave newby's report the other day for this lake and called my friend and said,"Let's go". His words were "I'm not going to that mudhole", lol. So we went.
First fish I cannot put a picture up because my buddy, who caught the fish, had left his fly down and he would be mad if I posted the pictures, even though I think it would be as funny as heck. Never weighed the fish but it was 3 or 3 1/2 pounds.
We then caught a multitude of little guys, like 6-8 inches and some like 5 in 5 casts. It was truly relentless action for a short time. It died down for a touch and in that time we picked up a couple decent 1 to 2 pound fish, and then another good one. I have a cheap scale and it read just over 3 1/2 pounds on it, the only fish that we actually weighed. Of course, my buddy caught this one, as well.
I finally got a good 2 or 2 1/2 pounder, and then a few more little ones between us.
All totalled, we got to the boat over thirty LMB. Not sure on the actual totals. Out of that, two over 3 pounds (easy), one over two, and I think, can't even remember this as we caught so many, but I think we got 4 more between a pound and two.
