4/25/2010 8:48:00 PMThe comment about the powerbaiters wasn't against powerbaiters in general, just powerbaiters that decide to fish bait on a no bait lake. Just my own personal frustrations watching people breaking the regs, year after year, on what is supposed to be a quality lake. Sorry if it offended you.

4/26/2010 8:22:00 AMno offense taken. I was surprised as well but I guess they can only monitor so many lakes. Just seems like Rattlesnake would be a sure thing to catch at least a few anglers fishing with bait every opening day weekend.

4/26/2010 11:09:00 AMRattlesnake Lake has always been watched by the gamies. That lake was a turning point in my life. Got a ticket for using bait (pre- powerbait) in the late 70's. I knew not too, but was young and dumb. Went way across the lake. thought I was cool. Gamie came busting out of the woods. They used to glass people and catch them all the time there, he was telling me. I do think they patroled lakes more in the older days.

6/26/2010 11:41:00 PMYeah... well....the lake is catch and release now.... and there is still people using bait and big old bobbers and tuna gear for those stocked 10-12" trout. What sucks is that the people breaking the rules have their kids there also and they teach their kids to kill and take fish illegally. It makes me sick. It's hard to get on a guy's crap when he's got his little kid there poaching with him. I just usually tell them I saw a game warden (whether there was one there or not) and point out the regs that are on a white sheet around a pole or at every entrance that says"Catch and Release Only" "No Bait or Scent" They usually leave for a while or for that day anyway. LOL! Dumb butts!
