I am not sure what everyone else is doing here but this
has been the best trout fishing I have ever experienced. The lake
has its off days but most days are 50 to 100 fish and that's 2 people in less
than 4 hours on the water. Trolling is defiantly not the thing to do here unless
you want to sit inside and go for a ride. Fish this lake like you would for Bass
in the summer but with spinners next to the
shore. I mean right on the shore, 6 inches of water!
Keep moving along the shore line and cover a lot of territory. I have on many many occasions
caught 20 fish in less than an hour.
If you are doing anything else here you are wasting your time. I go barbless and just
catch and release all day. Some days the lake will be off, if you hit one like this get
right back out the next day because the Browns don't wait to long
to eat. The best days are winter, breezy, overcast. I have traveled all over the world
fishing trout and little compares to this place. Can't catch your steelhead but want red meat
in your fish this is the place.
