Hit El yesterday from 10 am to dark. Managed to dodge all of the rain, but it was really windy most of the day. Fish are becoming more active, but after all of the rain and cold we've had they're slowing down again. Used a 3/4oz blue and chome rattle trap and ran it as fast as I could to keep it above the weeds that are already coming up and that's how the majority of the fish were caught. Landed 25-30 fish between the three of us, but only one broke 17". Lots of small males. Still a good day. Tried for some crappie too with no luck. Hit my favorite spots but the wind was kicking my light gear around too much for that. Landed 1 fish doing that... All in all, a good day on the water with friends.

I heard there was a bunch of dead lmb floating around the public launch and the south side of lake from my cousin's coworker who also fished there friday. Did you happen to see any?

I have heard of dead largies too, but I have fished there twice and haven't seen any dead floaters.

My report is on the dead ones... yeah there was a dead one by the launch, but I didn't see an more and I fished most of the lake. I don't suspect any problems. All fish caught were healthy.

I fished there about 3 weeks ago and seen two 3-4lbers on the bottom just to the left of the public launch. Kinda strange. They were withing 10ft f one another. Strange, anyone know what is going on?
