Step Father and I went up to Dry lake for some spiney ray action on Sunday. Tried Beetle spins with Berkley gulp minnows first, only a couple of hits, so my step father switched to just a chartruese jig tipped with a piece of worm and I put a red reflective swedish pimple tipped with worm. We both slipped on a bobber and cast close to the cattails. It didn't take long and our bobbers both went under. We where into fish the rest of the day . Came home with a nice mixed bag of crappie, blue gill, perch, and the occassional red ear sunfish. We kept only the larger of all fish to make a batch of fillets. Yummy yummy. Can't wait to go back and take my son. Wonderful day spent on the water and awesome memories made with my step dad. Love ya big dog!
