Spent a few hours on the Lake chasing Kokes, with not much to show for it. Talked with chelanlaketrout, and decided to try some tips he shared for the Macks. Trolled from Rocky point down to the lower end, and had three takedowns with only one hook-up. Fought it for a short time, and off it came. Was using a Chartruse flatfish and a Metalic Blue flat fish, and had hits on both of them. I must be lacking in the hook set or something, but Oh Well, At least I got some hits this trip. Picked up a "Small" silver at lakeside, but no other Kokes to the net. Water temp was running 52-53* with beautiful skies. Wind picked up in afternoon, but a great day to be on the water.

Hey Lewis,I think you need to go back to using live bait & light tackle for the Macks. LOL Thanks for the report.

Winds sure made life tough on the water this weekend. We had similar conditions at Roosevelt too. Like you, we were "drift trolling" because I couldn't do it any other way. Not a spectacular fishing trip at our favorite lake either, but we did manage 5 for the weekend with Debbie boating a 4lb, 2oz whopper of a Kokanee! I'm watching your koke reports, I have an itch to get into some! :-)

Hey Hewesfisher, you may need to watch someone elses reports to get any catch info. LOL. I'll have to give them another go next week. Small trolling motor was acting up, maybe a clogged fuel filter. Work on that later. Windy fishing is a challenge, but ya gotta fish when there is time. Stay safe out there.
