Finally!! No green goo and I caught more than one bass! Water temps were 53-55* conditions were black clouds, off and on hail and pouring rain, my favorite!! Wind out of the N.E. at about 5-10mph. Two lures did the trick for me today, a jig and a spinnerbait, threw the jig around 'very' shallow cover and caught 2. Threw the spinnerbait around and through the slowly emerging lily pads.....OH MY GOSH!!! AHHH!!! not the dreaded LILY PADS of Clear Lake???? Ohh Noo....Better call WDFW and the National Guard!!! Watchout!! Your firearms are useless against them!! Run, run for your lives...........and leave them alone this year please.
O.k., enough of the soapbox of sarcasm;)
Biggest for me today was 4.1lbs, add to that a 3.8lber, a 3.0lber and a 2.2lber, not to mention the 2 big trout that attacked my jig all the way back to the boat and it was a good day! Hit nothing deeper than 8 feet, headed for Goodwin at about 4pm.
