What can I say, this lake is a solid producer of 12" to 14" trout year after year. Currently the water surface temps are around 48 degrees and the weather seems to chage every 30 munites or so, we even picked up some snow today on the higher hills along the lake. The past two days of fishing were outstanding, especially given the weather conditions. We are currenrly camped at the resort on the south end of the lake and run out to fish for an hour or so at a time when the weather (wind and rain) breaks. If you are fishing from a boat, there is no need to bring bait or scent, the fish are agressive and strike trolled offereings with gusto. Our best producing lures so far have been the hammered brass triple teasers. Some times a red or green headed version works better than a plain version, you just need to switch the colors around until you start to get bit. Honestly, if you are trolling for more that 10 minutes without getting a strike, change colors. Flyfishing near shore also produces fish, you just need to get out as soon as the wind breaks. One other thing to note, most of the fish are being caught on the south end of the lake.

The two pattererns that have worked best for us this year are as follows.
1. Trolling 40' behind the boat in 6' to 10' of water with your triple teaser, needlefish or similar small spoon and a small spitshot for weight.
2. Trolling a small flatfish 15' down in 20' to 25' of water if you like to use down riggers. This also results in fantastic strikes, so make sure your leader can handle it!
