Brrrrrr, cold wind, hot fishing.
Rory (a genuine Redneck) and I hit the lake in his yacht. Hard to motor around a 50' yacht with a 30lb thrust electric motor. It was really hard putting in too! Still I convinced him to go flyfishing with it. The small motor actually made the yacht go at the perfect speed for. Anyway, I had to loan him a fly so he could catch fish. All joking aside, we hooked up with some good fighting rainbows all day. Once we had the location and the correct fly, we had consistent hits. Type IV sinking lines and A yellow/black variagated chenile body Carey special or an Olive grizzly hackled woolybugger were the ticket.
We had a great day, a cool sunset, and a few snorts to warm us up!
A limit apiece for the smoker and we called it a day.
