Hey Tracker, I was fishing that tourney and it was tough. I to go back to 90' and I can't remember it being this difficult to find fish. I've got my theories thou. This lake get's pounded year after year and I think these fish are evolving to adapt to the pressure they have been experiencing this past decade or so. In the 90's you pretty much had the lake to work over largies, smallies to yourself. Never the huge tourneys, club tourney's and all of the pre-fishing involved. Just my thought's. The fish are their. We (ME) need to figure them out once again. Way to hook up Sat.

Hey Basser did you catch any fish and do you know what it took to win the tourney?

I lost 1 and that was it. 18 # of largies came in. Then it went right down to 9#. 10th place was around 4#. Crazy. Good luck out there

we thought about fishing largemouth went up to north end of lake 3 boats fishing but did not want to crowd them so found another place thanks for info.

It's very hard to support a 58 boat tournament in the beginning of spawn season. I love bass fishing but tournaments are what kills it for me. Why put $ bills on the sport you love? I don't get it. Sammamish is going downhill due to the tremendous amount of pressure from bass tournament guys ripping bass from their beds and allowing the billion perch and other predator fish to come in and eat the eggs. A real bass fisherman needs to be concerned about the resource and not the $ and ego associated with $60,000 + fishing boats and the cool sun glasses that allow them to pick bass from the beds. Contrary to what everybody says, it stresses the hell out of a bass to be put inside a small bag of water and carried 50 yards to a weigh station, thrown back into a bag and then dumped off to the side at the first dock. It's just not my idea of what bass fishing should be. Yet, that's what happens. Bass Tournaments should be made to pay fees to improve the lake quality if they are going to exploit the lake. I don't know... that's just me. On Wednesday, I saw 2 dead smallies that were rotting by the boat launch. I would have to guess by the looks of it they were casualties of the tournament. You have to be kidding me to tell me that bass are handled properly in tournaments. I've seen it first hand and it is not too good!

I have fished this lake a long time before all the new bass boats began to crowd the lake the big crowd used to be jet skis and water skiers wich are both a thing of the past replaced by the wake boat. I have a 1989 tracker pro v 16 I bought new and has been all over the state and still serves me well. The bass fishing is not as good as it used to be but is still good I would never drag fish around in my live well just to get a picture of a bag of fish as I feel they should be released where they are caught but I do understand tournament fishing and respect it and alot of those guys do a lot for our sport. We all need to respect and cherish our #1 resource the fish and the lake without it we would be lost. tight lines ><}}}}">
